Publication terms
The Yemeni Academy of Postgraduate Studies Journal welcomes scholarly contributions in the humanities. Submitted manuscripts must comply with the following requirements:
I. Manuscript Preparation Standards
- Originality:
- Submissions must represent original, unpublished work not under consideration elsewhere.
- Methodological Rigor:
- Research problems must be clearly defined
- Methodology and procedures explicitly articulated
- Systematic presentation, analysis, and scholarly critique of data
- Adherence to APA 7th Edition citation standards
- Structural Components:
- Title: Precise, concise, and substantive (avoiding redundancy)
- Abstract: In Arabic and English (≤250 words each)
- Keywords: Five substantive terms not replicating title words
- Sections: Introduction, Analysis, Results, Conclusion, References
- Language:
- Manuscripts in Arabic or English must demonstrate academic linguistic precision
- Length:
- 5,000–10,000 words (inclusive of notes and references)
- Formatting Specifications:
- Arabic text: Sakkal Majalla (15 pt)
- English text: Times New Roman (12 pt)
- Margins: 2.5 cm (all sides)
- Line spacing: 1.0
- File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)
II. Manuscript Submission Requirements
- Submission Method:
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively via the journal's official email addresses:
info@yemenacademy.edu.ye or journal@yemenacademy.edu.ye - Required Attachments:
- Abbreviated CV: Author's curriculum vitae (maximum one page)
- Written Undertaking: Signed statement confirming the work is neither published nor under review elsewhere
3. Peer Review Process:
- All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent referees
- Review Timeline:
- Notification of editorial decision will be communicated within three weeks of manuscript receipt
- Revision Policy:
- If revisions are requested, authors are granted a two-week period to implement modifications and resubmit
- Publication and Dissemination:
- Accepted manuscripts are published in the annual volume
- Corresponding authors receive a complimentary electronic copy of the journal issue
