The security council's role in achieving the international peacemaking and security in light of international changes

The objective of this study to examine the role of the international Security Council in peacemaking and ensuring safety among the countries in the whole world. It is well known that the security council is the executive arm of the United Nations Organization. This study looks into the importance of the security council in international peacemaking. Also، this study considered the current role of this council given changing powers and politics. Moreover, the study looks into effects of the security council's decisions and directions, including cases where they bypassing its authority and international conventions.
The study focuses on the security council's role in international peacemaking and ensuring safety through the period of the cold war and also the collapse of the Soviet Union leading to one polar power, examining advances and improvement in the international field. The hegemony of one power showed the council's imbalance which appeared in many cases through a long time, requiring restructuring of the system to restore a more just relation. Finally، this study concludes a set of findings and recommendations.
