Publication Ethics

The Academic Journal of the Yemeni Academy for Graduate Studies is committed to integrity, transparency, and scholarly honesty. All submissions undergo rigorous screening per international publication ethics standards. Accordingly, the journal mandates compliance from authors, reviewers, and editorial staff with the following protocols:

I. Author Obligations

1.     Originality:
Submissions must represent original work, free from plagiarism or unattributed borrowing, neither previously published nor under consideration elsewhere.

2.     Documentation:
Strict adherence to APA 7th edition citation standards with precise source attribution.

3.     Disclosure:
Declaration of any potential conflicts of interest (funding sources, institutional affiliations, technical support, etc.).

4.     Authorship Integrity:
Accurate delineation of individual contributions; prohibition of honorary/gift authorship.

5.     Confidentiality:
Non-utilization of private or unpublished data obtained without written authorization.

Revision Compliance:
Timely implementation of editorial/reviewer revisions within stipulated deadlines.

II. Reviewer Obligations

1.     Strict Confidentiality:
Maintain non-disclosure of manuscripts under review; no dissemination, discussion, or unauthorized use of content.

2.     Impartial Assessment:
Provide objective evaluations free from personal, intellectual, or institutional bias.

3.     Misconduct Reporting:
Promptly notify editors of suspected plagiarism, data fabrication, or ethical violations.

Timeliness Commitment:
Adhere to review deadlines or formally recuse if unable to complete evaluation

III. Editorial Board Commitments

1.     Decision-Making Integrity:
Base publication decisions solely on scholarly merit, disregarding author identity, affiliation, or background.

2.     Content Safeguarding:
Reject plagiarized submissions, works infringing intellectual property rights, or breaching research ethics.

3.     Peer-Review Protocol:
Enforce Double-blind Review for all submissions.

4.     Violation Sanctions:
Impose appropriate measures for ethical breaches including manuscript rejection/retraction, author notification, institutional reporting and temporary submission bans.
