Journal Policies

The Academic Journal of the Yemeni Academy for Graduate Studies is a peer-reviewed publication dedicated to disseminating original research in the Humanities. The journal maintains explicit policies ensuring scholarly integrity, academic quality, and open access to knowledge. Our core policies are as follows:

1. Periodicity Policy

·       Biannual publication (two issues per calendar year)

·       Published under the auspices of the Yemeni Academy for Graduate Studies

Continuous year-round manuscript submission

2. Publication Policy

·       Exclusively accepts original, unpublished works not under concurrent consideration elsewhere

·       Mandatory double-blind peer review for all submissions

·       No obligation to return rejected manuscripts and provide rejection rationales in all cases

3. Peer-Review Protocol

·       Minimum two specialist reviewers per manuscript

·       Final editorial decisions based on reviewers' reports

·       Third arbitrator engaged in cases of contradictory evaluations

·       Author notification within four (4) weeks of submission receipt

4. Revision Policy

·       Required modifications must be completed within fifteen (15) calendar days of request

·       Acceptance may be revoked for non-compliance with revision deadlines.

 

5.     Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain full copyright of their works. Research articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting any user to freely download and read the research.
Content may be reused, quoted, modified, or built upon, provided explicit attribution is given to the original published source with proper authorship credit. This licensing framework aims to maximize scholarly dissemination and knowledge circulation, thereby enhancing research impact and facilitating accessibility.

6.     Open Access Policy

The journal operates under a free open access policy, making all published research freely available for reading and downloading without charges.

7.     Multilingual Policy

The journal publishes research in both Arabic and English.

8. Plagiarism Policy

• The journal employs plagiarism detection tools and automatically rejects any manuscript proven to contain unattributed content or duplicate publication.
• Appropriate measures will be taken in cases of publishing ethics violations (including rejection, notification of relevant authorities, or author blacklisting).
